It really depends on the level of these test. If they are in the "low titer" range, then it could be they are elevated because you have a family history. According to "The Lupus Book" by dr. Wallace, some people who have other family members with autoimmune diseases can test positive...but they are usually in low titer. Probably 1:80 or...

Some people with Lupus are extremely sun sensative. So, yes, less sun exposure can make your symptoms better in that case. If you aren't allergic to shellfish, try taking glucosamine chondroitin sulfate with MSM. It is good for arthritis. Fish oil is also good for arthritis and other things like cholesterol. Start tracking your symptoms and...

Just wanted to chime in that you seem to have AntiPhospholipid Syndrome (APS). Not everyone with LA or ACL (or both) develops APS but with your history of blood clots, you probably have it. I recommend you do a google search for APS Foundation of America. Interestingly, APS itself can cause many of the symptoms you've got, and that group might be able to help you find a doc who has more experience with APS and will treat more than just...

I, too, am experiencing terrible blurring in my eyes. My eye doctor told me my eyes were terribly dry and instructed me to use eye drops (over the counter) daily. While it does ease the blurriness a little, I'm getting frightened because I feel my eyesight is getting much worse. I was told that the dry eye is a sympton of lupus. I will go back to my...

Hi and welcome to MedHelp.
The one advice I would give you is to spend some time in the sun prior to them testing your ANA. I'm assuming that's the test they are doing???
