acyclovir isn't effective Effective strength cough syrup when only taken daily. it has a very short half life and doesn't get a lot of the active medication properly absorbed to be available to the body so it needs to be taken twice a day. No, the scenerio you mentioned in your 1st question is not ever going to happen. the virus doesn't lay around on the body to be transmitted to others like that. grace

the herpes is still in a very early stage as i have done blood test which returned negative for both hsv1 and hsv2.. however the doctor has since said that there is nothing to worry about this and more concern is on HIV.... I am currently on medication, using acyclovir 3 times a day to get rid of this sores...
