Hi! If you were my patient, I would advise you to go ahead and stop the pills.  We usually recommend waiting about 3 months to let your body adjust before actively "trying". If during that interval you do indeed resume the twice monthly schedule, I would then check some basic lab work including:  prolactin levels, progesterone levels, thyroid functions and FSH/LH. Depending on what we...

Keep Having miscarriages
Published (2009-12-18 21:30:00)
Thank you. Some additional background, I have 2 healthy children. My husband is young and in great condition. I am currently on 1 baby asprin a day along with vitamins. I think I will ask my doc about the HSG test. I did have a D&C from my 1st miscarriage. Do you think scar tissue could cause the subsequent miscarriages?

4 years ago I was diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis. After having an laprectomy in 2006 and a laproscopy in 2007, I was told I would need fertility treatments. My husband and I got married Aug. 2007 and immediately started trying to get pregnant. My HSG results indicated both tubes were open. I was then diagnosed with PCOS. My doctor tried femara and clomid to begin with, but I was not responsive. In October, we did our first First...

Hi! Clomid does regulate hormones. It will (hopefully) increase your progesterone level as well as your estrogen Hormone replacement therapy level. When a woman ovulates, the cyst the forms where the egg is released forms a corpus luteum which produces progesterone. If you don't ovulate regularly, you probably don 't have a lot of progesterone (the level varies ...

HI! I'm sorry you feel so discouraged! I'm also sorry that you lost your pregnancy! Does your clinic offer PGD? pre-implantation genetic diagnosis? If so, you might want to consider that! Typically an embryo that survives to the blastocyst stage has a pretty good chance of continuing, but in your case, it could certainly be that the embryo was not genetically normal. Also, ...

Sorry about your loses. Perhaps your hubby should take a semen analysis if he hasn't already. He could be the problem as abnormal sperm can cause mc.

HI! The REs like to see the FSH lower than 10. A higher level doesn't necessarily mean that you can't get pregnant, it just means that you will be a lot less responsive to medications than someone with a lower level. You will probably need to try a high dose protocol, and you will probably not produce a large number of follicles Follicle development Follicle stimulating...
