todays apointment didnt go any better.   I am not doing well this evening it seems that about 30 min after the manipulation everything starts.   although  i have never been to a chiro before so maybe this is normal.  the doc said it is but he may be a quack i still havent figured him out. but Dr. H said I didnt have a chiari so there should be no harm in me having thesew...

No it isn't normal. My mom has seen a chiro for years and has never expirenced the problems you are having or that I had. Like I said before ALL of my symptoms started the day I started seeing a Chiro. Just like you said about 30 min. after my appt. that is when everything would flare up. For what it's worth, IMO Dr Di is awesome. I don't know his stand with ped end of things. He is in the main CCF S building though. Wolf

My surgery is scheduled for November the 9th.  I'm have the decompression surgery and a spinal cord surgery to fix a disc in my neck.  I'll ask someone to do an update for me.   Tina

My doctor's appointment yesterday went as best as I could have hoped.  Dr. H was my pcp 10 years ago.  He has MS and had me tested for the same.  He is very personably knowledgable of neurpathic pain and other related problems... so when I thought of him, I knew that is where I had to return. Dr. H has ordered the MRI's that will be important for my getting evaluated by a Chiari...

Hi and welcome to the Chiari forum. I saw ur MRI and yes it does look like a minimal herniation, but u do look like u have some overcrowding too. Many NS will not do surgery for what has been termed chiari 0 ;a herniation under 5 mm. It must be helpful to have an understanding of what is going on and where to turn next for help.Do make sure ur NS is a chiari specialist......

Julie, it appears u were to see a NS that is not a chiari expert.U need a specialist for ur son. We have a thread with names of chiari drs members have used....if u don't find one close to u , we can help u locate one. U may find that u might have to travel to get to one. A chiari specialist will know that chiari without a herniation can cause issues. I don't know what else u son has endured...
