Hi everyone, just wanted to update how it's been going for me. I'm on my horse camping trip and guess what I just realized?! I forgot my hydrocodone!!! Avisg..maybe I will copy and paste it to the recovery forum..u r right, it may be better to have posted it there Alcohol is an easy trap..for some reason pill abuse is considered worse in society than alcohol abuse..alcohol is everywhere...i guess it would be harder for an addict who has alcohol as a doc to stay clean than a pill addict just because of the sheer availablity of alcohol vs pills,,cheaper too I would think U know yrs ago I had...

Willy,this is where you have to dig deep within yourself and put on your big boy pants and be strong.You have made it this far and with determination will make it thru the darkest times.It does get better as other posters will say.Make yourself exercise or some other form of legal distraction.keep posting and happy thanksgiving

Ty everyone for sharing your story, although we have different stories we are all fighting for the same thing. Instead of saying I am an addict, I change mine to recovering addict, that is what I am:) Narla, ty for sharing that and i am so sorry what you endured. You are on a high amount.. Xanax has to be weaned very slowly and it would be best for you to discuss this with a Dr. I hope you can do this being honest with one would be your safest approach to getting clean.. lesa

It would be best if you get this information from a Dr. as it needs to be done very slowly it can cause seizures and other complications if taken off to quickly.. lesa

5 times is nothing. I've seen people that have detoxed well over 100 times. Telling your wife was a start, but you're in desperate need of some sort of aftercare plan. It's almost impossible to do this alone. So, I've given you the "secret"...aftercare. Now, what's your plan?
