Much better solution. We want as many cars as possible and ALL cars with an Alfa boxer engine to be equally welcome. Camping is a bonus. Sorting a list of local B+Bs and Premier/Travelodges would help those of us over 50! Chatsworth, August 8th it is then! Cheers, Mark

These filters are legal ONLY for racing vehicles. Not applicable, nor intended for use on emission controlled street or highway vehicles. I like this commment Luckily I'm in Uruguay!!!Lol What model are you guys using for the 1.7 QV 1988 33 model? K&N Custom Air Filter Assemblies with Carburetor Applications

Hi, Elvis It could be the heating circuit on your wiring loom. Check the voltage on the 2 white wires too the lambda sensor. There should be 12v. What reading are you getting from the black wire?

Hi James As requested a few pics of my V8 Sprite - As the clutch plate had stuck/rusted onto the flywheel I had to take the engine and gearbox out last week and I put my better old race engine in tonight (having made sure that its clutch plate was free!) Its a bit messy and I've got to do lots of tidying

i havent seen that sound proofing stuff on the under side of a bonnet for years, i remember having it on a sud in the late 80's. i know modern cars use it still. yes i would of thought removing it will help it to run a bit cooler.

some good ideas there and i too look forward to following the progress good idea to go on a weight saving spree, surprising how much the glass weighs don't know about removing the heater though, i know it will save weight but cars without them tend to suffer terribly with wet races. not being able to see for a fogged screen doesn't help your lap times have heard about heted elements ...

On a standart engine no. You will however get a awesome sound from the carbs I got them on my 33 TI and i couldn't feel any change apart from the sound.

I shouldn't think so. The engine is taller and longer than the Alfa unit. Try asking Neil Yates at Adrenaline Motorsport as they adapted the Minari kit car to take the Subaru unit (The Murtaya). Adrenaline have a website with their contact details. Cheers, Mark
