Much better solution. We want as many cars as possible and ALL cars with an Alfa boxer engine to be equally welcome. Camping is a bonus. Sorting a list of local B+Bs and Premier/Travelodges would help those of us over 50! Chatsworth, August 8th it is then! Cheers, Mark

Hi, Elvis It could be the heating circuit on your wiring loom. Check the voltage on the 2 white wires too the lambda sensor. There should be 12v. What reading are you getting from the black wire?

Hi James
As requested a few pics of my V8 Sprite - As the clutch plate had stuck/rusted onto the flywheel I had to take the engine and gearbox out last week and I put my better old race engine in tonight (having made sure that its clutch plate was free!) Its a bit messy and I've got to do lots of tidying

I see it now, must have missed it.
I am interested in doing this but didnt know a few things... The spring poundage, length of spring to get for my already shortend stroke koni yellows, revalved. How to do top mounts, i spoke to a company that used to make them, i wanted solid topmounts made, i sent them templates, measurements but they wasted my time and i got fed up with their excuses.

i havent seen that sound proofing stuff on the under side of a bonnet for years, i remember having it on a sud in the late 80's. i know modern cars use it still.
yes i would of thought removing it will help it to run a bit cooler.

some good ideas there and i too look forward to following the progress
good idea to go on a weight saving spree, surprising how much the glass weighs
don't know about removing the heater though, i know it will save weight but cars without them tend to suffer terribly with wet races. not being able to see for a fogged screen doesn't help your lap times have heard about heted elements ...

This is my daily drive car as I said. I take care of it, but I think its giving up on me
The past week the lens of the light fell off...as you can see... while I was driving and broke into a trillion pieces
Last night I went to change my oil and filter and check on the radiator water because it dissapeared from time to time.
Radiator is new and so is heater radiator.
Look ...

I shouldn't think so. The engine is taller and longer than the Alfa unit. Try asking Neil Yates at Adrenaline Motorsport as they adapted the Minari kit car to take the Subaru unit (The Murtaya). Adrenaline have a website with their contact details.
Cheers,
