Thanks. Found him on eBay, but it looks like all his auctions are for GT and spider parts. I saved him just in case, though.

Leonard, Did you get my message about some of the parts we could use off your Sport Sedan? One of our drivers is a corporate pilot and will be stuck in Philly for a couple of days at the end of this week. He could come by and pick up the parts if that works for you. Please let me know either way.

Wow, it would have been easier to just take the caster rod apart at the adjustment sleeve. To anwser your question the Milano has no other locating device except the bolt. Now that you are here why not just get the upper a-arms and caster rods from that junk Milano, while you're at it replace the upper a-arm pushing with poly, you will be suprised how much play is there with worn out stock bushings. My a-arms flopped around like limp...

$$$$$ They were using close ratio gear boxes, likely lightened. Someone should chime in if they even used synchros on the race boxes!

Nice shots. Interesting that Tajul's and one other one have 5 lug rims. Obvious some updated suspension and modifications going on there.
Thanks for sharing.

What is that? Gravel and dirt??? Looks like gravel and dirt, but when I tore my 2.5 down, the PO/mechanic used the bars stop leak in the radiator, looked sort of like that, but was baked into every corner of the engine/head/radiator. I spent close to 10 hours with a dremel and a wire brush cleaning every nook and cranny of the block, even the coolant drain plugs on the side of the block were ...

Have you checked the front donut on the driveshaft. I bet it has a few cracks in it. if so replace all three and save yourself a lot of drama. Also check the center propeller shaft mount. It may need replacing. I can get you an exploded view of the prop shaft if you need it.

Ruben

Rob,
Yes, removing the switch assembly will remove the steering lock.
How much do you want for the fuel tank? We're still deciding on the driveshaft.

A performance 2L might be your best choice. The twinspark is often suggested as the latest "flavor-of-the-month". Tricked out, they are worthwhile, but do you really want to do that? Even the racers still use the single plug for economy and performance here in the U.S.

I recall that my Alfetta GT was quite happy at 80mph. Back then my job had me on the Interstate quite a bit. The way the instruments were laid out, at 80 all the needles were pointed straight up and the car just sang.
Of course the national speed limit at the time was 55 so I tended to get in a bit of trouble on occasion. Explaining to the cops that 80 was the correct design speed for the ...

You don't have the Radiator hoses connected and you're running the car? No coolant at all, is that right?
If so, then you have probably nailed it. The water (coolant) flow over the sensors causes them to match the temperature quickly, otherwise they will just pick up the temperature of the thermostat housing and will take forever to register any changes in temperature.
Large bubbles ...

and here are two of the rivet's remains still in the upper control arm. i decided to leave them to help stabilize and make the rod solid to the control arm.
and here's the caster rod bolted up onto the control arm. all it need now is a cotter pin and then it's on to the right side and more drilling.

A friend I was helping had a similar problem with aftermarket tube headers on a Chevy 350 V8 (we had steel allen-head bolts, for what that's worth).
We ended up doing two things:
- Replacing the thicker fiberous gasket with a thinner more rigid metal gasket.
- Replaced the allen-head bolts with hex-head bolts and installed the tear-drop shaped washers that lock the hexhead bolt against ...
