we can only hope this is the chance to reverse scope. I like flying a 340, but at mainline rates that would be 50-75% higher. Mainlines take back the puddle jumpers!

Actually, they do. USAFA_Aircraft Air Education and Training Command - 306FTG __________________ I stand corrected on the gliders. Do you get certified while doing it there? I understood that to be an extra-curricular activity... and not part of the evaluation on whether to send you to UPT - my bad, I'm not an Academy guy.

The problem is in people's understanding of the way a code share works, not in their knowledge of who is operating a flight. For example, I've talked to passengers who believe if they buy a ticket on a United website, and hop on a CRJ painted in United colors, that there is some sort of deep connection to United, as opposed to just a shallow little marketing agreement. They believe there is a connection to United's standards of...

Well, a little birdy told me that TSA is getting back 5 of the airplanes that went down to Mexico cause they couldn't pay the bills. So now I have to wonder with 5 more airplanes, thats appx. 50 pilots, could there be recalls coming down the road soon, or am I just getting my hopes up for nothing?

Well, like many others, I've been in the hiring pool for one year now. I know things change daily and that it's hard to predict the future, but does anyone have a guestimate as to when classes might resume? I'm hoping no later than next spring, but I guess it all depends on how much flying Delta and United require this fall and next spring. Well, I guess the good news is that no furloughs have...

Mr. meatballs, you are going to stir up all kinds of trouble by listing the E190 ahead of the 717! If the purchases happened today, that is a pretty accurate assessment of the RAH fleet makeup. In six months, though, those CRJs will be pretty much extinct, and the 717's will be starting to go away. And, if Bedford's public statements bear any fruit, you will see the number of E190's going up...

With all the talk about where the line should be drawn between what should, and what should not be considered a regional jet (i.e. 100 seat CRJ-1000, regional jet?), I thought we should start a Jeff Foxworthy-esque "You might be a redneck" thread, except the punch line will be "...it might be a regional jet". I'll start us off... "If you're plane has air stairs... it might be a regional jet."
