What you are proposing, basically becoming the infrastructure, is something that has been tried before, by Russia. It didn't work. Why? Because all they did was set the market price and the growers let the Black Market drive it up from there. It is black label economics, but still economics. There is no way to enforce the growers to sell to the U.S. unless, honestly, unless it was at gunpoint; and our current political regime simply...

How much flying do you get to do per year?...Obviously it depends on airframe and probably the fiscal budget... Had a captain I flew with that flies KingAirs in the Army Reserve and he said he easily flew 500 hours per year although alot was being deployed at Afghanistan... Also if I went AD for 10 years could i then switch to the Guard or Reserves and then stay on for another 10 and get the pension?

Search the board, lots of info here. Guard/reserves is the way to go if
you're already flying for a living. 10 years from wings + 1 year of UPT +
AMS/OTS and breaks in between. You're looking at 11.5-12 years total. First
thing you need to do is get the AFOQT and BAT(or whatever they call it now)
done. Without it, you can't get very far.

The one coming out the side is the Combat Edge mask. When I was in UPT it was simply a matter of what mask fit better. I found that mask to be far more comfortable.

You are correct that once the demographics change - the prices and service changed. I've always had USAA for my auto insurance - nothing else - and I recently used them again to insure my car. I'll be buying a house in the next few months to a year - so thanks for the head's up about home owner's insurance. When the time comes I'll be sure to shop around instead of going with the comfortable ...

No experience but early on ATAC was mentioned as THE recipients for the two SU-27s imported into Rockford IL earlier this year. That seems to have fallen through with the Flankers now on various sites for sale. Got $5 mil???
I can see the Kfirs and the A-4s but the Hunter seems an odd bird in the mix unless they are using it as a low-level ingressor.

Yup!
What Hacker said.
My two favorites have been the F-4 and T-38. I like flying fast! I like pulling 'g!' I like flying upside down, or "yankin' and bankin'." I like flying formation. I like flying low-levels.
In other words, the stuff I couldn't really do in the civil world.
