As far as swtiching to another union I am for giving DALPA a chance first but I have no problem with some discord here and there as it can be an effective way to send a political message. There are some things I really like about DALPA and wouldn't want that to be lost. At the same time however, I've talked to a few Captains on the ER that were union reps and they complain bitterly about the backwards priorities and other problems...

F9 & RAH new seniority list?...
Published (2009-06-30 16:01:00)
And this is why any seniority integration would be a friggin' disaster. If you guys wanna play "Whose got the bigger airplane" that's great. But when my job comes on the line because F9 can't get along with RAH and vice versa, I start getting irritated. Personally...I think everyone's ego is speaking for them at this point and no one's really using their brain. I sincerely hope that F9 gets financing...

Are there any expectations out there about an anouncement of a merger once the new pilot contracts have been finalized? CAL is currently in talks, correct? And UAL is up in December of this year, correct? Easier said than done I'm sure, but would this be the final pieces to the puzzle? CAL&UAL?

I have read several of the other post on the merger but no one has really said what they think would happen IF they had to merge the seniority list. My understanding is that it would go to carrier expectations, since all F9 are flying narrow bodies and all RAH are flying RJ's I would guess that all F9 would be senior to all RAH. And all Mid guys would be zippered in with RAH since they are only...

I'm sitting here watching the USA in the FIFA Cup Final, and wandering if before next yearÂ’s World Cup; (the biggest sporting event in the world) if any other US airline is going to start flying to South Africa or is Delta going to reap all the benefit of being the only American carrier flying into Africa?

Don't know what you alll think, but this is a serious problem for this industry! This bogus bill needs to be adressed. This is not politics, this is economic! And if economics leads to politics, so be it! Global Warming, my butt!

I have searched the forum, but did not find exactly what I was looking for. Trying to go from MIA-UIO. Can a Fedex pilot ride in the cockpit on an international jumpseat (5 hour flight) on American Airlines. My pocket guide says worldwide is available on AA. The alpa jumpseat guide says it is limited to the number of jumpseats on the plane. I have already listed on the 888-WE-FLYAA, and the ...

Saw this on CNBC in the HPN hotel this morning. I looked on the Boeing website and found this: EVERETT, Wash., June 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Boeing (NYSE: BA) today announced that first flight of the 787 Dreamliner will be postponed due to a need to reinforce an area within the side-of-body section of the aircraft. The need was identified during the recent regularly scheduled tests on...
