Type A vs Type B pilots
Published (2010-02-06 19:13:00)
There is no differentiation with respect to the rules. The point was the forum is populated by type A personalities who can remain anonymous with what they say here. A unique combination of the typical pilot personality and anonymity. The rules are designed to keep that rather extreme faction somewhat in check so we can have a message board that is useful and productive for all. The type B personality is not going to cause a problem here. At...

Congrats. Good to Hear. Think you negotiators could wander down to DFW and negotiate for the APA.

Forgot to bid, Ouch, I would be torqued about that experience as well, especially after elevating it and getting the brush off. At SAV a drop by the program manager's office would get that instructor replaced in 2 seconds. CRM is an element in every course, but just about 2 hours out of the entire ground school. My Dash 8 experience was lacking as well, but my GV experience was superb. If anything it was too compressed.

Way to go guys... First Contract for Pilots Reached at Flight Options After more than three and a half years of contract negotiations, the pilots of Flight Options, represented by Local 1108, have reached a tentative agreement with management on a first contract. In addition to the inherent problems of negotiating a first contract, Local 1108 also dealt with circumstances that few ...

Found the following post by IC ALL interesting... "The rules here are simple and common sense. They are designed to keep an anonymous message board full of type A pilots as professional and respectable as possible." Why is there a differentiation between type A and type B pilots as it pertains to this forum? The whole A/B personality thing is so simplistic.

Just curious, but does anyone know what a/c slots are mostly being furloughed by this round? Also, I take it that most of the furloughees are FO's right? Or can they do it by fleet? Just curious, Good Luck I know how it feels.

I just saw an advertisement for Delta AirElite... I checked out the web site and it says that they use 135 and 121 airlines to charter their flights. Does anyone know who they are partnered with? I know they use the DCI carriers to fly charters regularly, but what about 135 partners? I've never heard of this company before, does anybody know how long they've been around?

Do you think that CEO's should take some financial cuts as well during these tough times to help save a few pilot jobs? Do you have any idea what your CEO makes each year?

Looks like the new CEO is making some enemies... the previous CEO resigns without warning, 495 pilots about to be furloughed, accusations of improper behavior, etc. Not good. http://www.nytimes.com/2009/12/04/bu...l?ref=busin ess
