You can demux the video and audio using PgcDemux. Load the audio into Audacity and process the file. Save the new file and use Muxman to mux the new audio and the demuxed video. http://www.podtopia.net/gettingstarted/removenoise.shtml http://www.afterdawn.com/software/audio_...ls/audacity.cfm When you run Audacity, click Edit > Preferences > Libraries and either 'Locate' (if the files are already installed in your...

Video Transfer to DVDs question
Published (2009-11-24 21:52:00)
For Christmas, I've decided to transfer my family's media onto a newer digital format such as DVDs. For cost reasons, I would like to do this project myself, as I have over 70 different video tapes that need to be transferred. The method I'm planning to use is hooking my VCR up to a DVR , recording them to the DVR's hard drive, and then burning DVD's off of that. Now, I have seen on several websites of video tape...

a good program would be womble mpeg dvd wizard. It works great with mpeg2 files, it'll edit without reencoding (won't loose too much quality). Once you have all your clips on the timeline you can add transitions and decide where your chapters will be. When you create the menu, each chapter will have a thumbnail and you can move a slider to pick the exact scene you want to show on the thumbnail. I still use version 4.0 (still...

Dazzle to capture xbox 360...
Published (2009-11-28 12:39:00)
Hello all. I am trying to capture my gameplay on xbox 360 to my PC. All I have is Dazzle DVC 80 and bundled pinnacle studio 8 and I have the associated leads ect obviously. The problem I am facing is that when I start the capture process the video in the capture window goes black and white. The game runs in UK PAL60. I was told to use AMcap to change the video setting to SECAM_D (although this option is not availiable anyway, only SECAM_L and...

Assuming you have recorded the DVD and simply wish to rip the contents to a folder on the PC, use DVD Shrink . 'Open Disc' > 'Backup'. This assumes you used a DVD or DVD RW disk that has been finalized on the recorder. If you are using DVD_RAM disks it's not as straightforward.

It's not going to make it any faster, if that's what you're asking. It's also questionable whether you can improve the quality by using an intermediate device. What I've found is that the quality of VHS to PC transfers is directly related to the quality of the master image and the quality of the input device (TV card). The 40001 is a USB device. Are you sure that ...

Get an internal tuner card with built-in mpeg encoder. That will get rid of your audio sync problems. With a tuner card with hardware encoders, the cpu isn't that important. The tuner card will encode the video/audio on the tuner card itself. Happagauge makes good tuner cards. They have externals with built-in mpeg encoders but usually cost twice of the internal cards. ...
