Amy, welcome. You said on another thread you were SNAP approved, right? I was hoping someone that knew the SNAP process might help. This is what I know. I adopted my three kids through foster care. They all have the same birthmom. We took the odlest when she was 13 mos and got the other two at 6 mos. I did not get into foster care to adopt, but it was hard saying good-bye to those kiddos. The twin's are coming today! I can pick them up at 8 this morning from the youth home... What a Christmas present! It is our first placement, and I am very nervous, but we can do this! They need us so bad.

So newborns are more "plentiful" than infants (for lack of a better way of putting it)? Is it because they can't go to daycare?

We would love to adopt an infant or toddler. We have everything completed,homestudy,training classes even the special needs training.We are CPR and First Aide certified as well. How do we let the system here in Hendricks know that we WANT to adopt or foster to adopt? Would love some help on this issue. We are new to foster parenting,But we Love kids! Merry Christmas! Remember Jesus IS the Reason for the Season! Amy

This is the first year out of 3 that bmom has actually not been either in prison or MIA for Christmas.. I'm not doing anything though. Things are definitely not friendly between us as she is doing the "ha ha, I won, you suck" since DCS lost TPR on the baby. I'm highly doubting she'll get the baby a present anyway (or our older FS like she said).. No, I bet she will get them both GREAT presents that will then...

i asked one of my kids case managers and was told they are trying to place more kids with relatives to avoid further disruption in the future. which sounds great in theory i suppose....but....i dunno. i know that isn't the best place ALL the time and it seems like they might be trying to force the issue a bit to save money.

ha.. that sounds familiar to me!
Id say.. that is part of their case plan. And, as such, if they dont do it.(job or adaquate housing) they wont get reunification.

stay hopeful.. I mailed mine in on the 30th. I havent recieved an email either.. but I have never recieved one even though I have included it on every form. And put it on the original paperwork when the direct deposit was set up.

Well my older 3 are adopted now, but I am giving their bio mom a picture of them w/ their 3 half siblings that I took when they were here a few weekends ago. I blew it up to 11x14 and put it in a frame.
I'd get something for my girls bmom, but no idea where she is these days.
Last year they made ornaments for them. I noticed this year they are not in her tree...who knows what she did...

but they would honor a RX for Pediasure or Boost. I picked up our 4 cases tonight, just under $400. They are so ridiculous. Doctor had to fill out a paper, they wouldn't just take the Rx this last time. My little one is 23 months and 21.5 pounds so he needs the Calories.
