Harm, Thank you. SmartSound Frank had informed me that it should fix the compatibility issues with CS4.1 & 4.2. I updated my SmartSound article to reflect that info. I have not gotten any reports from the field, and am glad that you commented. Glad to hear it. Appreciated, Hunt

DL is one-way only.? It looks like you're trying to set it up for 2-way data exchange.? In AE, when you go to re-link the offline/missing media, navigate to the actual .avi file that is missing and select it. Does that get you headed in the right direction? -Jeff

Either RGB Curves (my personal preference for color correcting) or the Three-Way Color Corrector will allow you to isolate specific luminance (brightness) and chrominance (color) ranges to a certain degree, so that you can affect only the values that you want to adjust. It may take multiple copies of an effect, each working on certain colors or ranges of colors, to get the output you want, but it should be doable. Note that this...

it looks like you have an After Effects project that contains a clip from your Premiere Pro project and then you're trying to use Dynamic Link to put that After Effects project into Premiere Pro.? That's how Jeff saw it too, which isn't possible.? The OP will have to change the way he does things, either by replacing the Premiere clip in AE with a link to the actual media file, or by starting in Premiere and doing a...

I have found that a project corruption might cause this error. I haven't found a fix yet.

Welcome to the forum. First, what version of PrPro are you using? In earlier versions, pre-CS4.1, you need to copy the AC3 .dll from Encore to PrPro, to use AC3 Audio. In CS4.1 - CS 4.2, that is no longer necessary. Now a note on Exporting DD 5.1 SS. You will need the Minnetonka SurCode DD 5.1 SS plug-in. You get 3 trials of it, then must purchase it to Export as DD 5.1 SS. If you ...

Steve, The DVD specs require 720 x 576 PAL or 720 x 480 NTSC. Not 704. How did you encode?

This sounds like a job for the CS4 clean script! My recommendation would be to deactivate and uninstall your copy of Master Collection, restart, run the CS4 clean script a couple of times, restart again and then reinstall MC. Run all of the updates to get your apps to current (Premiere Pro is 4.2) and then try to open your project again. Dennis...

Do you have a red render line above the clip when you put it in the timeline? If so its the wrong preset. It should not need rendering if it is the correct sequence settings.

Lisa, function(){return A.apply(null,[this].concat($A(arguments)))} I hooked up my Canon HDV Vixia HV30 via firewire 800 to laptop (small pin out, small pin into laptop) You have to use a FW400 port. FW800 is not supported. All cameras use FW400 and so does Adobe.

For AI files into PrPro for Video, I strongly suggest that you first Open that AI in PS and let it Rasterize your file. PrPro will Import it, but not so well. PS does a much better job at this, and you will appreciate the difference. That a program can Import a file type does not mean that it does the best job at it. Good luck, Hunt...

First, you may not need to convert, since the large majority of PAL DVD players also play NTSC. If you need to convert, use something like Procoder, which does a great job.

function(){return A.apply(null,[this].concat($A(arguments)))} The 1.5 project was converted to CS4, however, when the CS4 project opened, there was not timeline. That is easily remedied by double clicking on the sequence in the project panel. Can you give details. Look here and answer the 16 questions at the end of the Wiki article. Some suggestions...
