Hi, When you extend a form in Acrobat, the ability to add an attachment is one of the functions that is removed. See here for details. http://cookbooks.adobe.com/post_Using_LiveCycle_Forms_in_Acrobat_and_Reader-1651 8.html Happy holidays, Niall

I think that you are getting confused between the execute bindings that a WS uses and the Normal Bindings that a form uses to represent the data in a form. The web service is typically used to augment the data that is on a form. Think in terms of populating dropdown lists etc. The default binding tab is what determines which data will be present in the final form submission and has nothing to do with the WS bindings. Just because nothing is...

Repeating Sections

Well, I've been playing around with pagination settings a bit and can't seem to figure a way to skip over an intermediate page...maybe Paul or somebody has an idea? I just tried making a sample document that is set up kind of like what you've got and it always inserts a page before page 2. So unless someone else has something, why not just have the table on page 2 follow the first subform? Why bother...

Scripting Close Window

Hi Niall, Thank you for your reply and suggestions. Unfortunately, nothing seems to close the browser once the eLearning program launches the PDF in Acrobat Reader (not even ctrl+Q). I've written to the eLearning program's support to check if there is anything they can do. Perhaps they can change their code which forces full screen to allow some form of exiting. The alternative is to use...

Hi Naren. There is a messageHandler property, which from the documentation "This object describes an API exposed to the object model of a container application that allows sending and receiving messages from an embedded PDF document. For example, when a PDF document is embedded in an HTML document using the <OBJECT> tag, the PDF object is scripted in the browser scripting context." ...

Hi, That is quite a complex form! You were nearly there with the script. A few sticking points: When you have multiple objects with the same name, it makes it more difficult to reference them in script. So I would recommend naming objects as you go; Your had double .. in the SOM and the reference was incomplete; To make radiobuttons exclusive they need to be in the same exclusion...

Designer ES2 is available as a paid-for upgrade ($29) to Acrobat 9 users. It should be on the Adobe store shortly (it's not there yet, I checked). We just release this week and it will take a little bit of time before it's posted.

Hi, It would largely depend on the nature of the document and how complex the layout is. If you open the document in Acrobat (depending on the version, either Standard or Professional) and then go to the File / Export / Word Document command. This will export it to Word, but the layout will probably not convert exactly as it currently appears in Acrobat. You will not be ...

Not sure I follow what is going on but you need to realize that the web service binds to something called the execute bindings and teh dat athat you see in the exported xml file is controlled by the data bindings. I don't see how the data can be different from the two sources unless you are specifically loading the xml data that is coming back from the web service. Paul...

While you have the subform selected go to the Pagination tab on the Object palette. At the bottom is a section "If Dataset Must Be Paginated" - you can select a page or content area to go to. Not sure how that will actually flow with your two subforms on page 3 you'll have to play around with it - you might need to set up a new content area on page 3 to receive the overflow....

Hi Yasser, Here is a sample where the click event of the button assigns an image to an imageField: ImageField1.rawValue = Image1.value.image.value; The second sample uses addInstance() and removeInstance() to duplicate objects. Notice that the drop down is inside a flowed subform, with the binding set to repeat for additional items. The forms must be saved as dynamic, ...
