Adobe Reader didn't "do" anything to your PST file, but you probably changed the file association by leaving "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file" checked.   What you need to do is to reset the file association from Adobe Reader, and change it e.g. to SCANPST.EXE   If you have a recent system restore point (before the file association changed), restore that save point.? If not,...

There is nothing wrong with the keyboard.? It is capable of lowercase 'i' on all of the other form fields within the same IRS form.? Only on line 1a of this one single form does it have a problem.? If you enter a lowercase 'i' on the second line, and copy-and-paste it to the first line, it will change to uppercase 'I'.   And if the problem is the computer, what on Earth would cause this problem only in...

You will need to create the form with fields first (sounds like you've been doing that already). Afterwards, you would simply enable the file for Reader users to save. That is found under Advanced>Enable usage rights for Adobe Reader under certain versions of Acrobat (you didn't mention what you had). Then they can fill the form out, save the results and attach the PDF to an email back...

You would need to open the form in Acrobat and add form fields using the various form tools. Then in order for them to save it using Reader, you would need to enable the file under the "Advanced" menu in Acrobat.
