Is this difference the same on the 3.2 CL ? I was reading a spec sheet from an '01 consumer reports on the CL vs CL-S and it just said the intake was different. After reading this thread, sounds much more involved than just an intake swap..

well I actually ruled out the RSX unfortunately. just too small for the baby seat in back.. liked it a lot when I tried it though. pretty happy with what I ended up with though, even if it is the first non-honda car. 2002 Maxima SE with a 6 speed tranny. one owner, all the maint records, just a sweet ride. and for the same $$ as I was looking at spending on the RSX type S. the Maxima is a lot bigger, real nice in and out, and it FLIES thanks...

100K is chump change in an RSX. Just make sure you can get one that has the records for maintenance with it.

One of the upsides to a base model is that it's so much easier to upgrade audio than it is for the Type S. Yes, you're dash will take the aftermarket receiver.
As for the harness, the blue end looks like it will fit the RSX's harness, but the white end looks a little big for an aftermarket receiver. So as long as that end's cool, you're good. With a regular wiring harness you don't have ...

On factory sized pads on the street, blank rotors actually work best as it maximizes your contact area between the rotor and pad. After that, I would say slotted rotors as you minimize the loss of contact surface area between pad and rotor, but keeping the sweeping and cleaning action that the rotors provide. He must vtec a lot. Vtec loves oil. Some consume more oil than others. I don't think a quart every 1k is normal though. I could be wrong though.

Anyways, to answer your questions, I'll start first with the clutch.
As far as the clutch goes, the Competition Clutch stage 2 or the Exedy Stage 1 will match your needs perfectly. I offer both systems (however I only have the Competition Clutch setup on my website for the moment).
