So the old, outdated Post Office is open on Saturdays from 8-4 normally. However, during the "winter" (a.k.a. now) they're only open 8-1. This is like the only time of year people use their damn service, and they're cutting back on hours? Am I the only one that doesn't get this?

No idea and certainly hate the post office, but I'll throw out an idea, however unlikely. If they decided to be open fewer hours so that they could reallocate people from the window to the back office so that they could actually be handling the massive flow of packages, I'd be ok with that.
Seems unlikely, since if they were doing that, they would likely be smart enough to close at 1:00 on ...
