I will soon purchase software for creating an image of my Vista installations at home. What imaging software have you used for backing up your operating system installation? Have you used it to restore a trashed system? If so, what operating system did you restore? Did it work well for you?

You can probably build the chart using all the data, and then go to "format the x axis" and manually set the max and min to exclude the values you don't want to show, assuming you don't want to exclude values from the middle of your data.
I would recommend instead that you simply create your own trendline - it's not hard and gives you a lot more control. I'm also a little concerned that ...

First, back up all data [Using an Acronis boot disc, with an external drive plugged in, reboot the computer (hit whatever key at boot lets you select your boot device). Create a complete image of the hard drive on that computer.]
Second, using something like an ubuntu live disc, boot up (again with the external plugged in) and back off (or burn) important files.
Third, test the hard drive. ...

Its part of a toolpak I created, User Interface can choose between different metrics (Incurred, Paid, Counts, etc), states, companies, and then you run it, it pulls 40 Quarters values from the database puts them into the sheet and produces various averages.

There would be a learning curve, but, for testing purposes, you could repeat the regression on another platform, such as R, to compare the results. Similarly, you could create VBA code for the regression instead of using the Excel canned capability.
