my only advice about flushing is this... use night creams, a moisturizer of some sort, aveeno products work well... this is the only thing that has worked for me... 25 years old, male... been battling the random face flush for years.... night time is a chance to put something on, something mild and non-aggravating, and let your skin rebuild... it needs to rebuild!

QUOTE (hina79 @ Oct 28 2009, 01:40 PM) I don't have SD, I do have dandruff though. My dad has bad SD though and he gets bad itching all the time. Its like he's constantly scratching and I feel bad for him. He says at work, he has to go to bathroom every 1/2 hour to scratch...He has tried so many of creams etc. but nothing seems to be helping him. His SD seems to be all over his body. Do you guys know anything which...

did your doctor not tell you to alternate between two creams with a different active ingredient to prevent resistance?

When I asked her about it, I asked her if it was rosacea, she said something about blackheads, yellowness, noticed my blackheads, hormonal small white acne on my chin and prescribed me Duac.

Guys, I've tried everything listed here and then some. Nothing gave me as much relief as 0.5% hydrocortisone cream. I apply it lightly once a day after a shower. Use H&S and/or Nizoral for hair. 0.5% cream is available in Canada over-the-counter. Generic brand will do. This post has been edited by xtr3m : Yesterday, 01:58 AM

I have now still a little rash after 2.5 week st joseph sulphur soap. but looks like it is a little less than last week... I wash it in the morning each day. so once in the 24 hours.. after I wash it I apply the shea butter same as Ceci and in the eavening I only wash it with warm water. they said that it should take 3 weeks from the company of St joseph.. Avar Emolient and Moisturizing
Published (2009-11-02 20:52:00)
Hello everyone. I just had a quick question about something called Avar emolient and about how often I should moisturize. I don't know if anyone's ever heard of this particular medicine before, but you might not have had to. I've been using it for about a month just in the morning after cleansing, and then at night just cleanse and moisturize. My skin doesn't feel particular dry throughout the day but I was wondering if I...

Hey guys! Some of you might remember that i wrote her some months ago. I am now 2weeks post tane, and cant wait until the side effects fades away. My lips are already better, but the redness and flushing are of course still a bit annoying. Unlike you, I have no "long" flushes, it is only due to embarrassment, which is a bit worse in hotter environments, and its lasts for a few seconds. The flushes are not as intense...

MrsZ. Thank you for your reponse. I have read some of your posts about your experience. They were helpful. I have been on doxy for 3 weeks now and I think I am seeing improvement although slow. I did want to ask you if you by chance experienced large pores as a result of the steroid rosacea? I normally have larger pores due to my naturally oily skin but it seems that since I have stopped ...

I'll copy/paste what I told another guy on here: Forget about the hydrocortisone and use an anti-micotic like Nizoral or Canespor for 4 weeks. Sometimes a cure with oral antimicotics like itraconazole or fluconazole can help (I had best results with the latter, no side effects with a 15 days cure which made the s.d. relatively better after 5 months). Just keep in mind that it is a cronic...
