Dark and red spots after accutane
Published (2009-11-24 01:16:00)
Did your determologist tell you how much longer do you have to use accutane? .. For me.. acne have stopped after 4 mths of accutane while suffering from serious dry skn and cracking lips. My determologist told me to stop.. once I stop the acne came out again you shouldnt worry too much about your acne marks or dryness that much, you should find out whether acne will outbreak again once you stop accutane.

I understand your frustration- I have been there... I did accutane during 2004-05, and I loved it. However soon after I stopped, my skin returned to its old nasty ways and I was left crushed and lost. My mother wouldnt let me try accutane again, risks being the reason- so I started ProActiv- and even though I no longer use it, it worked wonders on my post-accutane skin. Have you tried it yet? As long as you stick to the routine, it is a great...

QUOTE (amic13 @ Nov 17 2009, 01:53 PM) I am about to start Yaz, so I dont have much to say in regards to that (I am glad you have had such a positive experience with it, by the way!)- but I'd like to know what you think of Tazorac? It has been years since I used it, but I remember it being fairly effective. It might be something I start using again as an overnight 'on-the-spot' treatment. Any advice?...

QUOTE (iceopal @ Nov 24 2009, 01:07 PM) Back in 07, i did a course of accutane and it cleared my skin to near perfection. i was so happy! best 2 years of my life seriously..i dont mean to sound shallow, but in addition to having good skin my life was easy and ever since I started breaking out again, everything came crashing down. its wierd how that happens!.. anyway i had pretty much clear skin until spring of...

Scrubs are way too abrasive while on Isotretinoin! if you were on 10MG/day though, I'd use it.

QUOTE (peachy29 @ Nov 24 2009, 12:17 PM) It is week #4 of my doryx, retin a-micro .1% and duac regimen as prescribed by my derm. Just this week, my face has been extremely oily all day. When i wash it in the morning and put the duac on, two hours later it will look like I greased my face with butter. Has this happened to anyone else? YES!! Mine is freakishly oily too with the ...

Self-medicating by messing with the dosage of any medication, whether you want to take less or more, is a bad idea. Talk to your doctor about it before making any changes.

Moved to the antibiotics sub forum. I have used Doxycycline before and yes, my skin broke out a bit beforehand, but i haven't had very much experience with that particular drug. Clindamycin should not initially break you out but make sure you are only apply it to spot treat. It might cause irritation otherwise.

I have only used Finacea. I have had great success with the product! It took about 6 or 7 weeks for me to see improvement, and I have been using the product for about 3 months now, with success. It minimizes red marks quite a bit and helps keep my non-inflamed acne at a minimal, plus takes care of any inflamed marks I get on occasion. It's a great product in my eyes and I wish you luck ...

Hey i understand how you feel about taking these tablets ive just finished a cycle of tetracycline and if im honest it made it worse, i have heard that it works for a lot of people though just not me i guess. If your doctor prescribed both at the same time im sure theres no danger taking them together.
