Trying Klaron after using Differin
Published (2009-11-08 17:11:00)
So I'm back on Differin. My skin did not agree with the Klaron at all. Getting cysts, when I never get cysts, was pretty scary, and wasn't something I was going to mess around with. Luckily, Duac was there to zap the cysts within a few days. I seriously love that stuff for spot treating.

Clindamycin & Doxycycline
Published (2009-11-08 17:53:00)
QUOTE (livexolife07 @ Nov 8 2009, 04:34 PM) I have been taking Doxycycline for abotu a week and a half. I would say about 95% of my acne is cleared up because of it. I have also been on clindamycin for about a month and a half, it helps with new pimples, but not old ones. As of now, I only have a bunch of inflammed red marks left over. I also take a multi vitamin, vitamin e, chromium, and zinc if this helps you. Good luck I...

What should I expect?

QUOTE (Vanilla Face @ Nov 6 2009, 03:05 AM) I have mild to maybe slightly moderate acne, but very persistent acne, especially on my forehead. I have made it even worse by picking at it. For the most part, I've done less picking lately and my forehead isn't filled with marks as much as before. How bad was my picking? Well, the right side of my face is jumbled with hyperpigmentation, and I haven't had a pimple...

Well i havent read of anything else that can get you permanent remission even after stopping it. The only other things will be diet (for some people), and just growing out of it i guess.

Last week Friday I had a back injury and went to the ER where I was given Methylprednisolone 4mg Pak, Valume, Tylenol with codine, and naproxen. Now let me just say that I had severe and I mean severe Acne and I'm almost 30, I got white heads, black heads, nodules, huge huge huge blood and puss filled pimples all over my back, neck and face. No, generics work just as well as brand name. They have the same amount of the active ingredient so it shouldn't matter, plus, they're cheaper!

After only a week of being off Differin, my nose area is extremely congested with blackheads, and my skin overall looks like crap. I'm going to my derm this afternoon to ask about whether I should go back on it. I was hoping I could move beyond retinoids, but it looks like the Differin might have been keeping my blackhead situation at bay.

I was in the same situation years ago that you are in now. I got the "cream and pills" and they didn't do a thing for me. Just go on accutane. Trust me, you should consider it if you have severe acne, scarring or your acne has been present for a long time. I have a family doc app tomorrow, and I am going to ask for accutane because nothing else he's prescribed these past six years have ...

I didn't have an IB, my skin started improving immediately. But I was on retin-a micro for about 7 weeks prior to accutane and my IB was horrific from that. I had been off of it for about a month when I started tane and I think that's part of the reason I didn't have an IB. I would recommend starting off on a low dose to minimize IB, also maybe get green cream or some other retinol cream to...

Is there a good moisturiser you recommend? I've been using Vaseline's Cocoa Butter deep conditioning on my face.. it doesn't break me out or anything so why not? But I've been eyeing-up Eucerin for awhile.. so many good reviews. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be any Eucerin Q10 for sensitive skin at my drugstore Just the normal one.
