zero configuration for wireless usually works good with minimal effort. Is your router set up for secure connection wpa, wep ? Jim

guesthouse with WIFI & the Windows or MAC users can connect without difficulty, I want my linux based aspire one to do the same. As it is, I can stay at 4 hotels where the wifi works and it then decides not to work at the 5th hotel, when I can see other guests using laptops without trouble. No idea about Linksys. Be sure you've visited
Microsoft Update and installed the latest Atheros driver (shown as an "optional" download there if you don't have it.) That update makes a real difference to performance.
