Usually modern monitors have an auto detect feature but yours might be different. Have you tried changing the source of input?

does it have an external video card? Are you plugging the monitor cable into that instead of straight into the motherboard?

When she clicks on it it comes up with: No Supported video capture device found I phoned the "help" desk and they told me it was because she hadn't done the live update - she has done this a multitude of times and it changes nothing. Please, please can someoe help? Thanks Nessie

On glossy screens

Moho, Changing screen brightness on this netbook seems to be a big problem for a number of people on these Acer forums, including myself. No instructions come with the computer. How do you adjust your screen brightness? Thanks for any help you can give. Billy.

Notes file storage on AspireOne...
Published (2009-11-18 15:29:00)
Does anyone know where data for the Notes reminder program is stored on the Aspire One (model AOA110) with Linpus? I want to recover the file information since my Acer won't reboot and just shows a blank screen. I can boot up in Ubuntu with a USB flash drive and can see file listings for Linpus, so I assume the Notes are stored in one of these files, but which one, and how to access them? All my other data files are intact on the 16GB...

Derek.. first do this.. http://macles.blogspot.com/2008/12/acer-aspire-one -aa1backup.html you'll need an 8 gig thumb drive I presume you're using the linpus ssd version by the way! Then You'll need to make a bootable thumb drive or "live usb" . I use Unetbootin for this, and you can get a windoze version (easier) http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/ Run unetbootin, select your drive type ...
