Intel Mac OSX 10.5.8, Davis Vantage Pro Plus, Datalogger with USB drivers, Weatherlink Mac v503 WLink station: a (now missing though data exists in a folder a3) This system has worked very well since Dec 08. Wonderful. Then yesterday an error message about the need to update (?) and pay again (?) came up and prevented the program starting at all. So I foolishly downloaded the update Weatherlink Mac v505 including the USB driver. On starting...

QUOTE(Bugs @ Oct 23 2009, 02:24 PM) Yes would be cheaper this way and cheaper still if an Envoy was used for the PC connection. This is essentially what we do. We have an Envoy hooked up to a fit-PC, running weewx . The fit-PC is an inexpensive, low-powered PC, which runs Linux and has built-in WiFi. The WiFi connects to our router, allowing the Envoy & server to be located anywhere in the house. Details of the setup....

Depends on just where you want to put your display I suppose. You will still require a weatherlink data loger but what type might depend on how you want to connect, USB or serial logger you could connect wirelessly with additional hardware along the line of some of the Lantronix equipment. Maybe an IP logger would suffice but depend on what internet connectivity you had near your display?...

We are having problems updating Weatherlink 5.8.1 to 5.9.0 on a pc running windows 2000. This is the serial port version of the data logger. The executable WeatherLink_Install_590.exe will uncompress then nothing. I tried the same file on my personal XP machine and it starts fine and goes to update the C++ compiler for windows. Has anyone else experienced an issue with WeatherLink 5.9....

If your going to use a tripod you'll have to mount it on the peak of the roof line with the legs extending down either side and then fasten it to the roof using lag bolts, which will require you to put 3 holes through you roof, make sure the lag bolts are long enought to penetrate through the shingles and the plywood underneath. Put a rubber washer ot gasket between the tripod legs and the ...

I have not seen the Vantage Vue, but reviewing what information I can find, it appears to do just about everything the Vantage Pro series does. It would appear that the Vue does not store information for as long as the Vantage Pro does. For instances, with the Vantage Pro, you can look at High/Lows, for years back. While I'm not positive, but there is not mention of that on the Vue. ...

There is a plastic clip holding the SIM to the ISS frame. You can see the top of the clip when you look at the back of the SIM. Carefully pry up on the clip with a screwdriver until it pops out.

QUOTE(drpetje @ Sep 1 2009, 07:33 AM) I cannot retrieve my data anymore after the snow leopard upgrade on mac. Anyone got it working after the upgrade? It's a different piece of software, but the problem is most likely your USB driver for the weather station. Look at the second post here: http://www.lightsoft.co.uk/forum/viewtopic...?f=8& t=1860 Don't use the Davis USB driver,...
