If the Second Coming occurs between now and then, and we have first-hand proof that the world really is only 6,000 years old, Sarah may be a shoo-in. Otherwise, no chance in hell.

Really, right before I leave for vacation and this is the last thread I get to see? Ugh. My mom loves Palin. I just can't even talk to her anymore. So, let's have no more of this President Palin nonsense.

It'll be interesting to see how this breaks down in the court and used as precident for the upcoming trials of other terrorists captured by the military.

I don't believe Palin would be selected as the Republican nominee let alone being elected Prez. I keep in mind at seeing the high numbers of those buying her book are just curious or are her detractors simply wanting to see what's in the book.

Umm...doing "controversial" performances is super good for one's career. See Madonna as a perfect case study. I don't know anything about this dude (except everyone thought he was gay, and he claimed not to be for like 5 minutes before coming out, right?), and I don't know any songs he sings. The stuff he's doing looks no racier than anything from Madonna, Britney, and a wide variety of rap and ...

When our craving for people to look up to became so bad we ended up with this?

Above all other complaints about the nation from either side of the spectrum, the rule of laws applies to all. If only we could make it flawless.

Call girls and street prostitutes are both paid for sex, but for me that's where the comparison ends. She had people to protect her. She didn't have a pimp or a drug habit or small children to feed, or any of the other things that usually force women in to prostitution. Isn't it strange too that an attractive, middle-class woman who sells sex is a call girl while a working-class woman who ...

There's a big red button hidden in a cave somewhere in the Himalayans. It has a sign posted above it in all known (and unknown) languages: DO NOT PUSH.
And you what is going to happen. Some fool will come along one day and push the button and that will be the end of the world.
Al Gore is working on a book about this, An Inconvenient Button .

But then, I usually give more than the standard for servers who have to deal with my wife and her craziness...
