Another Saturday where DH got called in to work - GRRR! I am hoping he will be home early enough & won't be wiped out so that we can do some Christmas shopping and eat out somewhere. If he's not home by a certain time I guess I will go shopping by myself - but I really like it when he comes - he's an excellent chauffeur & bag-toter!

Happy Saturday, Cooks! Thanks to Carrie for starting the thread yesterday. We were having computer issues and I totally lost track of time. We're headed for the islands today, my favorite drive. Dinner will be somewhere along the way. Hope you have a great weekend.

Lots to do today. Dinner is gonna be chicken strips with panko bread crumbs, cheesy potatoes, a salad, and some kind of veggie! Happy Saturday my cooking friends!

Good Morning~ I think the snow is over for a little bit Rainy~ I'm glad your brother got there safe yesterday! My work Christmas party is tonight so I think I will have a grilled chicken sandwhich for dinner there. Have a great day!

Hi everyone!!!!! Tonight is something with chicken, maybe Fast chicken, rice, and sauteed zucchini and leftover green beans for the girls. Buckeyes for dessert. Have a good night!

okay a quick easy dip for nacho chips
8 oz. cream cheese, spead on the bottom of a glass bowl
1 can hormel chili with beans, spread on top of cream cheese
1/2 a bag of shredded mexican cheese, sprinkled on to of chili
Heat this in the microwave till cheese melts, and serve with chips. That's it and tastes sooo good!

I've been invited to a holiday cookie swap and they are giving out prizes for the best tasting and the best looking cookies. I need something different (last year I made meringues) and prize-winning, so I'm asking everyone for suggestions. I do have to bake 6 dozen of them, so keep that in mind. Its 19 degrees here right now!!!!!!!! we had a dusting of snow yesterday which really made it look pretty!
I am making some eggplant today along with penne, meatballs and sausage, a nice salad and fresh bread from the bakery.
