Be strong, I will pray courage and strength for you during this difficult ordeal. PP was right that you have to deal with this dispassionately and avoid as much as possible your emotions getting in the way (hard to do at the start but you will get good at it when you realize your marriage has been over for quite a while). Let your DDs be your source of strength, be glad they are of age to give you comfort and at least they can take care of...

HAHAHA usually I come across very supportive people. People have NEVER groaned while I was cashing out. The way I see it is, I was here first,sorry your behind me, keep it movin if you dont feel like waiting. Its the same theory my husband has when he is driving. If someone BEHIND him thinks hes going too slow(which he is always going ATLEAST the speed limit) then HEY! Feel free to go around. same thing at a store. Grumpy old men dont bother...

I knew nothing about the federal income tax being lowered. Guess I should read up on more stuff besides coupons..

Thanks for the tips. I always reserve online and try to look for coupon codes. We don't rent that often, but the last time I rented I drove to Atlanta and back so about 450 miles each way. If it helps I can totally relate. Your dh and your situation sounds exactly like mine! And I also did the same recently (small splurges) and now am feeling TOTALLY guilty!

Once in a blue moon they have some good things, but they go fast. In the spring I had gotten a pink princess castle radio alarm clock with about 800 points, they sell for about $25 so I thought it was a good deal. It is true that a large amount of what they do offer is lame for the point value they are asking for. Also, be careful about holding out to long since the points do expire over time.

wow..I can see how you would be hurt..and honestly a little angry. Those are all BIG ticket items..very expensive christmas gifts! I am sorry you worked so hard to save and plan and have this happen. I would not be happy spending that kind of $ at Christmas..it seems way out of hand.
Maybe you can have a yard sale in Spring to get rid of the items you don't want and to recoup some of the ...
