Seeking compatible RAM for system

Yes I use an aftermarket CPU heatsink..matter of fact I am still researching aftermarket coolers as my favorite cooler company is just now coming out with products for that chipset....Thermalright. At the present time it seems the Noctua NH-D14 would be the one to buy. I don't go into extreme OC'ing but I want to be sure it runs cool. I thought maybe since it was 1.5v (and not higher) that it might produce less heat than some of the alternatives (I'm not really sure whether to expect this to be true or not). G.SKILL...

Edward, Have you attempted to install the software through compatibility mode? Also, it may be a good idea to run the application as an administrator as well. Microsoft does have an official Windows 7 Support Forum located here http://tinyurl.com/9fhdl5 . It is supported by product specialists as well as engineers and support teams. You may want to also check the threads available there for additional assistance and feedback. Jessica...

I have confidence in G.Skill Ram.
Had some running on an older socket 939 mobo for about 2 years.
Sat on the shelf for another year and then put the unit back together
to give to someone...been running without problems for another year so far.
Looking at buying almost the same setup except want the Ripjaw 1600 Ram.
Good Value for the money with a little headroom left for OC'ing.

Which begs the question of which SATA connectors you are using
as this board has 2 separate SATA chipsets..one connected to the
Southbridge(intel drivers) and the other connected to a Gigabyte Sata
controller( Gigabyte drivers)

It is possible to design a PS/2 mouse port such that it can be split,
and the splitters that support this are readily available and
inexpensive (under $10, sometimes under $5). However, not all PS/2
ports do support this ... the port has to be designed specifically to
enable such support. I do not know about your particular hardware, I
can only suggest that you get a splitter and try...

Are you talking about Password to access the BIOS or passwords for XP.
It is my understanding that even with that board having dual BIOS there is
only one password.
A XP password would have nothing to do with the BIOS.....its an XP problem.

Has anybody seen or heard when a AMD SATA RAID driver for Windows 7 will
be available? I have looked at GIGABYTE and AMD's website but nothing.
I have a GA-MA790FXT-UD5P motherboardand running VISTA 64bit.
From what I've been told, the SATA/RAID/AHCI drivers are on the Win 7
install disk.
