well the router says your line is synched at 7 Mbps and the stats are fine so the question is, how are you measuring the .5Mbps you think you are getting? which speed test sites? have you dont say 5 tests per hour for 10 hours a day and plot the results or is it just a one off test youve done?

As you are probably aware Sky program your username/password into the router they supply, and although they can be extracted you are contractually obliged to only use the router they supplied. Netgear do have N routers that sell for around £45 (I have one), so Sky could provide one for very little price over the current G versoin. But as N is not a finished technology Sky likely don't want to ...

Is your exchange LLU enabled for Sky? Sky Unlimited is available for £10 a month it is truly unlimited and by all accounts it is an excellent service (it had better be as I go live next Tuesday) I understand your point though, that's not a good way to treat a customer, might be worth asking for your mac code and moving elsewhere.

Normally, Sky only offer Connect cheaply (£10) on a temporary basis to subscribers who are awaiting an LLU service. If you have been offered it for £10 I would take it as Sky will be making a loss on the deal. Are you sure that the people locally who have been offered it for £5 are not waiting for an LLU service or that they are in fact getting Sky Mid?

A domain is one thing, you will need your own email service to handle it. This is nothing to do with Sky. How are you able to receive emails? Which service do you use?
