Could be the calibration of the set, DNR could be effecting it, as other digital trickery. Not every one knows how to calibrate their sets, leaving them with the digital factory settings left on, only changing color, contrast and brightness.. Just double check your friend hasn't done this..

I have A 9g kuro and am not happy with SD from my sky HD box. If like me you have an amstrad sky hd box, It won't matter how good the tv is at sd, it will look poor. the amstrad has poor sd and contrast stuck on high, I believe it's the same on practically all amstrads.Hd content is superb but not perfect due to the contrast issue. If you have the amstrad box this may explain the very poor Sd as...

Without wishing to put a dampner on things, these settings are so unique they only serve, when posted, as a matter on interest thing So many factors effect the look of the picture (lighting in room, equipment used, life span of set) that what works for one will not work for another I learnt this the hard way with my first projector many a year back - dialling in settings never gives as ...

I have a Kuro not a g10 but you should let the 360 not the tv do the scaling so I would set the 360 to 1080p. the xenos gpu in the 360 is excellent at upscaling. you should have no worries on the panny when it comes to input lag as they are currently the most responsive tv's bar crt. On the 360 set reference level to standard and hdmi colour space to source. ref standard is the correct setting ...

Hi, some channels are worse than others, ITV aren't the best and you will lose out on quality there, it's not the TV. Some setting fiddling could change it a bit and improve it a little, could you get a photo up? (if it shows it) just in case it is particularly bad. You'll find that different programmes vary in quality a lot, some of the dedicated BBC programmes like panet earth or natures great ...
