This can be affected by the Auto Motion Plus settings. In fact, there's a demo setting that shows the difference on scrolling text with or without AMP. Try a different setting.

Wow this looks very promising, and looking at the pre-orders available the prices are very reasonable for an LED backlit set! I will definitely be looking out for reviews of these!

I followed the advice to turn off sharpness and DNR, but it has not improved it much. However, The Dark Knight now looks amazing - great detail, minimal noise. You could argue for the initial cost, but it is likely the insurance company will try to replace with a similar spec machine - come back on that with the comment about linking it to your audio system, and the Sony not being able to... hence the specs aren't equivalent, and that you'd need a Samsung. With the £1250 you'll be able to get a very nice Samsung LED screen, so it is worth considering.

Hi my 42PFL9703D/79 crashes from PS3 to TV? I have found the only firmware that works without crashing is a very early firmware 47.008. Currenly running the 94 but about to go back to thr 47.00. Any ideas have to fix this crashing problem so I can install a later firmware feel later firmwares have a better picture....Many thanks.....Terry
