reseated and ran again, these were my results as well as the min and max stats from gpu-z http://i37.tinypic.com/9ayaee.jpg is that score ok or still too low? (never ran this before) - or maybe the settings I'm using for 3dmark vantage, linked to my first post, are too high?

Failing a better solution, you could set-up your camera on tripod, taking care to frame the screen in the view finder to avoid the edge of the monitor. I have used this method with reasonable success, but beware of family members bursting into the room and mucking-up the sound part of your recording You may be able to connect your 'line-in' on your camera to the 'line-out' on your P.C sound...
