'No more nails' certainly sticks old piece of carpet to garage walls fine, I've used this method for protecting car doors for years.
However, as you say, it's just likely to melt the foam on contact.

Do a little detective work? perhaps they belong to someone in the local area, can you use the BT site directory to check for the name in you local area?

Can't see how as it is satellite. Aerials can't cope with normal
freeview without producing poor quality so no way it can cope with HD.

It will take many years for it to get grubby so I haven't finished mine with anything, but if you do want to I'd go for a
varnish designed for use on a floor so it doesn't end up slippery and dangerous.
