Correct me if I'm wrong but for 92" diagonal it is 45"x80", therfore to keep this same 16:9 aspect ratio but add a 1" border I make my measurements 47"x82" isn't that correct?

Kevin - I just used some left over base moulding. I think anything will work. My suggestion would be to get some that has a very low profile along one edge.

Yes, a 92" HDTV screen is 80" wide by 45" high. What are you asking...how to cut the gf? Gosh I wouldn't attempt that, or if you DO want...

What's the easiest way to cut laminate? I ordered a 5' x 10' sheet and went to cut it tonight with a circular saw and the darn thing tore. I was using 2 flimsy plastic saw horses to hold the sheet up and half way through the cut the weight of the sheet (because one of the saw horses collapsed) tore the sheet. Now I'm out $110 and I have a wife that won't talk to me. At any rate, I'm going to go the painted route...

i was lucky enough that the place i bought it from was willing to drop it off at my house in their delivery truck the next day. can't comment on how it works as a screen yet, my projector is in transit to my house right now. i bought it as a temporary screen to audition swatches of screen material i'm considering, but if it looks really good i might be using it for more than a little while.

1 yard for a 145" screen? I don't think most use a small amount of material and then try to join it. In fact I havent heard of anyone doing that. You want enough material to cover the width of your screen, I cant see how you would join the material well enough to make it look good, sorry. Get 4-5 yards if the price is to steep go to their website and you should be able to print 40-50% off coupon.

Once again I see some controversy regarding the testing methods and standards that should be applied when evaluating a DIY Screen surface. Without a doubt, the color neutrality of the surface is the first and possibly the most critical of the attributes of the DIY Screen surface. The best way to determine this is through the use of a spectrometer and best displayed as a spectral reflectance ...

I just purchased a piece of DW laminate and when comparing to BOC I am exteremly dissapointed in how washed out it looks particulary blacks. This is in a room with 100% light control, dark walls, black ceiling and a ae900. Any suggestions on how to improve this? Paint vs ditch the DW and go with grey laminate? Thanks for any suggestions. I am about ready to use the laminate as a countertop...

I am trying to cut my large piece of velvet. I tried with a box cutter but it leaves fibers all over the place hanging on the piece. Scissors are not able to slide over the material so I have to make a cut every time. This makes edges every time I use the scissors. I am trying to complete this by tonight so if you have any suggestions please let me know. Thanks!

First off, here is the reason for my screen build This is my previous and original screen. It is a Draper Luma 106" widescreen that was purchased packaged with my original projector, an Infocus SP4805. It is about 6 years old. I currently have an Infocus IN72, and built a Wilsonart Designer White screen with aluminum frame. I debated on what type of frame to build, weighing all ...

Unfortunately, due to an unforseen burst pipe in my upstairs kitchen last week, and the subsequent rainstorm that became my garage, my theater is closed and being used as a storage area at this time, and my camera is now dead from water damage (or I'd post some latest screenshots to my gallery). Fortunately, my wife had the sound mind to create a "levee" of towels in the kitchen entraceway, ...

I just purchased the Epson 1080ub projector and I'm trying to figure out which screen will give me the best picture. I'm looking at the Elite Fixed Frame 106" 16:9 CineWhite screen which will set me back about $380. This is at the very top of my budget (over actually) but I'm leaning towards it simply because even a total non handyman like me couldn't screw this up. However, there is ...

when i went they only had the white on white (i think it was brilliant white) 5' x 10' sheets. i just inspected it to make sure there wasn't anything on the surface i'd be using as the screen. i can't recall if there was any model number or anything associated with it, but there wasn't really any different varieties to choose from where i went either

Just spotted this online and wonder - it has a denser pattern and comes in the same color as the 4500. Might this be better for people with closer seating layouts since it has a denser pattern? Here's the info I found: http://www.interiormall.com/cat/nsam...=113054&t=2 184
