The greek god Prometheus brought fire from heaven and gave it to man, thus he has been our friend, the
Master of Technology. A professional product developer was hired to visualize the complex layers needed from the as builts. I had posted an extensive technical explanation but somehow it got deleted so more later...

Looks like this will be demonstrated at ShowEast. Who here is going? Also says the adaptor is designed to work with a maximum screen size of 55 feet (4.5 ftL brightness on 2.3 gain
silver screen) That seams a little dim is that per field?

I lucked out and I'll be attending ShowEast in Orlando in a couple of weeks, but unfortunately only for
the final day of the show (Oct 16). I'll be there with my family for our annual Disney World trip and my wide has "allowed" me the day free. Is there anything specific I should check out? I am definitely going to see as much 3D related stuff as I can. Chris White

Well Resolution limited to 2048x1080 Contrast limited to
2000:1 Color is fine as it is Frame rate should be at least a multiple of 48 instead of 24, that is 48 true progressive frames per second The only innovation seems to be with 3D but how many really want 3D for every movie? Is the current state of DC all that we can expect for many years to come?

I just picked up this disc on Amazon. "Drive-In Movie Memories" Starring: Leonard Maltin; Barry Corbin; Burton Gilliam; Beverly Garland; Samuel Arkoff; John Bloom (aka
Joe Bob Briggs) I really enjoyed this DVD, it brought back a lot of fond memories. To me well worth the investment. If you lived through that era I think you will enjoy this one.

I'm a newbie to the hi-end, so please
bear with me. From what I am seeing on these machines, they have an incredible high lumen output, high cost but low CR? The highest CR I have seen (so far) is 10k. Sub $15k units have CRs up to 30k. I don't understand this. Wouldn't the higher end units have better blacks than the lower ends? What I am not understanding? Thank you for ...

Hello, I am sorry if this is not the right forum for this kind of thing but I am not sure where else to look. I have created a DCP that plays on my QuVis Cinema Player but I need to see if it will work on any other systems. Would anyone here that has access to any DCI compliant server be willing to have me email you a 7 MB DCP as a test? It is 1 second of 2D content. Non encrypted. Thank...

So obviously 4k is still in the if-you-have-to-ask-how-much-you-can't-afford-it range, but I don't see it being too much longer before it drops to the $30k range (while still expensive is still in the achievable range for many more than $150k). There are only so many 30k 1080p proj's to be sold before they start trying to get people to upgrade to 4k... But I don't see the
limiting factor as ...

Can't say, but it is the really really huge Hollywood name. Yep the man himself ,his partner went with the meridian but he did not fall for
the numbers game. Congrats to him for taking the high MTF road. And incidentally I had a chance to play with a Titan Reference projector and as good as this projector is (better color than the ht5000 IMO), these consumer sets are far from approaching ...
