I would simply have one condition be a color (which would print grayscale) and the other condition no color, to remain white. That should be sufficient for a yes/no condition.

There´s no direct way to define the cells to be left blank, but there´s another option, which will do what you want. You need to hide the current YESNOPARAMETER and instead add a new calculated field to your schedule (Calculated Value, Formula, Type: Text) Formula: if(YESNOPARAMETER, "Yes", " ") "Yes" can also be sustituted by a "X", or anything you like Have a good one.

Also, I've discovered that a second identical tile wall is not allowed to have the same "mark".

How Can I Spell Check in Revit?
Published (2009-11-25 19:20:00)
I wasn't clear i guess. When I spell check, it pops with this Dialog box. And we got good amount of data. And I am pretty sure there must be some typos out there. Its' like its not even doing anything but popup with this dialog.

Railings - yes. The other item is in the Family Editor: The fine nuances of reference planes, and instance parameters (to get, or avoid the blue handles) When type and instance parameters can be mixed in a formula( order does matter!) Nesting of shared vs non-shared families, and their effects in projects. Advanced 3D arrays in families, and the amount of nesting required.

Hi,
I've been reading up on how to create a finish schedule in Revit. I've been looking at Schedule Keys, etc., and all I've been able to do is confuse myself as to how this is to be done.
My project is a retail store, which is one room but has multiple wall finishes, floor finishes, and millwork finishes.
I looked at creating keys for a room schedule, but I've fouled this up and ...

Linked CAD file migration!
I am currently using Revit Architecture 2009 and I keep having problems with linked AutoCAD files. I am linking a civil site plan into my model, only to come back into the file later to find that the CAD file has ran away.
I clean up the CAD file to its minimum information. Then I import the file into Revit...

You msy wish to read up on the way in which walls are constructed in revit
in terms of the join order of sub wall components..this tends to be the
main reason for odd wall joins... further, you can toggle through various
wall join options as well using the modify wall jon command..

Re: Walkthrough File Size
If you are working on Windows vista, you can use the windows movie maker. Just import the AVI file and then publish it to a .wmv format which is much smaller than the original AVI file.

Re: Solid filled regions print always black
If you want colours to come through don't use black lines because it will make everything black. Rather leave it on colour.

Do you meet these settings?
3 GB RAM
6 GB virtual memory setting
not a lot of windows open simultaneously
not a lot or large Revit or CAD links in the model
If you do, and if you have more than 3 GB of RAM, try enabling the 3 GB switch. This usually works for us.

Looking at the keynote text file, you need to tab and add F1 at the end of the line.
Syntax on the keynote text file must be entered exactly and correctly, or the
annotation in the Revit model will not work correctly.
As a good place to start, when adding a new line into the keynote text file, copy an existing line directly above it and then edit it, being careful to tab and align to ...

Make sure that nothing in the family extends too fat outside of the window in the family editor. If you have a stray ref plane or some other object that gets "cut" in plan (even if its invisible) it will make the window show up.

Material Takeoff update
has anyone experienced the the following issue?
sometimes, when you add or modified either elements or materials, the existing view of Material Takeoff won't update accordingly, i may have to recreate that view.
is this a display issue similar to 3D view recreation stuff?
thanks
