Drawing Title Multi-Line
Published (2009-12-21 21:22:00)
Simple question (hopefully)... How can I create a drawing title tag that can adjust to a multi-line view much the same way that a room tag does. The only difference would be a bottom left or middle left justification instead of center.

Schedule of Openings
Published (2009-12-18 01:27:00)
I do not know that you are stuck with a manual property; that was a suggestion and one way that I know will work. If you make it style-based (assuming that you have different styles for different exterior materials), then you only need to fill in the data once per style. Do that in your style source file and you should be good from that point forward (except when working with files that already have the old style definition in them, but it is...

Schedule of Openings

Ahhh! I couldn't figure out what that anchor property was for but now it all makes sense. So is there no way to pull the material from a wall or am I stuck with adding a manual property to the wall for the material. I guess I can understand it not being too straight forward pulling material property for a wall especially when you have a wall with multiple materials.

Hi Kevin, Are you saying that you can't delete the current .dst file to allow PN to re-create one?

spline multileader w/out landing
Published (2009-12-15 20:34:00)
does anyone know how to get a spline multileader without the horizontal landing at the end? I want a leader with a single arc. I set multileader style for spline general format, no constraints, no landing, and no text content. When I draw my multileader it still has a horizontal constraint at the end of the leader that compromises the single arc shape of the spline I desire.

Ahhhh - Sheets gone from Project...
Published (2009-12-16 19:20:00)
Hi, I'm managing a large project in AutoCAD Architecture, the project has about 600 sheets in the project navigator. Everything was working fine, then today - bang - all the sheets have gone and have been replaced with the standard set of Subsheet folders - no sheets at all. They are still there in the explorer view though. How can I recoved this - I cannot reimport each sheet - it would take months... I checked the size of the DST file -...

What version are you using? ADT 2007 and later have the Anchor property, which, when added to a Property Set attached to an anchored object, like a Door, allows you to read in any propery value attached to the host object. If you have a property on your Wall that indicates the material of interest (perhaps as a manual, style-based property), you should be good to go.

Can you describe in more detail exactly what you are trying to accomplish? There are two main approaches to deploying ACA tool palettes. One is to set up a network-based folder that is read-only to most users, and adding a path to that folder in the Options dialog, Files tab, Tool Palettes File Locations node. This will get the tool palettes in that folder into the workspace as non-...

Not as far as I know. But I believe that you can set up display reps to add/move things from first set to second. Also I believe thru overrides that you can force certain object forward or back. I know it's a not so easy work around, but you could do it if you want.

Well Personally I'd model each different house as a project. In that project create your composite model view. Next I'd create a new project for the entire site. Drag in each composite model as an element and place them on the site individually so you can move each one around and set each specific elevation. You could also try to create just one model for the whole thing and split it up ...
