altho u asked to avoid the internet ebay is proably ur best bet you can pic one up for around 50 bucks on there and yes i do think you might be able to get away with stock jets< a stock 400ex has a 148 im pretty sure the 300ex's stock is a 132 so u may need to jet down alil also depending on air temp and elevation magicracing.com sells individul jets for about 6 bucks other modds i recomend 14tooth front sproket from...

ya. i have a k&n airfilter, and an fmf megamax 2. so do you know of anything else i can do that's fairly cheap fmftrx300ex? and where can i get an ex 400 carb cheaply, used?i have tried some junkyards online, but i have no responses from them, i wat to just go to the junkyard, and take it off, and whatever else i need and pay them in cash. not this internet crap lol, but is there any where near watertown wisconsin that you know of?

The plug is a little dark, but not oil fouled by any means. It smokes less when warm but it does leave a trail of smoke anytime. I have a 1990 Yamaha that has been used and abused since new and it still doesn't smoke and starts much easier than this honda does. QUESS I GO BACK TO YAMAHA if I can unload this junk.

I agree; very nice 'wheeler, and I like the clear cover. I'd like to do that to my 'R with a piece of lexan.

Thanks Thanks guys. The quick change cover was custom done by someone else but I made the lexan cover for it.

Were you running the same fuel. Or did you add something different? What did you do to it when you repaired it?

? check exaust gaskets/bolts if good, look at the pipe were it slides on the header if thats is loose it can suck in air and backfire

probley a k&n but you might as well not run any filter if you are going to run a k&n

warriors are notorius for having crappy off idle response. I don't think you can adjust the amount of squirt. You'd probably be better off getting a carb from a 350 raptor or z400, 400ex

put a wrench on the flywheel bolt and see if you can break it lose going backwards, might have broke the skirt of the piston off and thats making it seize

you can get a yz426-450f motor in it no problem , maybe a crf/trx 450r motor. I will ask you WHY? You will need alot of fabrication for it to work and you are still stuck with a chassis that can't handle the power those 426-450 motors make.
