>>>Anyway...my point is that IMO it's good for parents to be concerned, but it's also very important that they understand what it is they are looking at when they are looking at these scores. Most parents I know don't. <<<< You are absolutely right and I agree with you. I do think many parents are expressing a...

Terry, Our church has grown phenomenally over the past 10 years or so. Some of that growth came because we had relocated, built a new building, and people were curious about it so they stopped in. But the vast majority of the growth came from personal invitation by members of the congregation. As you noted (sort of!), people look for a connection. We've also done some community-based...

This is basically what my link said, although I would tend to accept it more as truth, coming from Barkleys.>>> I looked everywhere in your link and couldn't find those words! I believe you, I just didn't see it. Anyway, dh needed something "official" looking to convince him and I did and now Nikoli will get his concerta with water! Deb

I'm not familiar with this test. I'm sorry these numbers in some cases are going down rather then up. I can't imagine how frustrating this must be for you. ((Andrea)) . I hope someone can give you some answers.

For those of you who are not associated with a house of worship and want to be, or those who recently became associated with one -- how would/did you decide which church/temple/... you would attend? I'm asking because my church (like many others) is trying to attract new parishioners. We're using advertising in the local regular newspaper and in the "community" newspaper. When the ads appear,...

Is this progress report something new that the school is trying out? Isabel gets weekly progress reports on both academics and social issues. 1- excellent, 2-satisfactory, 3-needs more practice, 4-area of concern. She usually gets 1s and 2s, but sometimes I will see a 3 in the social issues section....or science!! If she were to get a 4, I would be unhappy that the school did not contact me...

I have not heard taking Concerta with milk may a problem. I thought you could take it with milk, juice or water. I do know that you should swallow the pill whole and not crush or chew it. 'When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves.' Frankl

>>There was mention of a link to lead paint and/or smoking as major causes. Weren't you a smoker at one time?<< These are correlational statistics -- not cause and effect. These "causes" have been ruled out long ago by good scientific research. There were millions of smoking mothers (and fathers) in the '50's and '60's and there is likely a lower percentage of ADHD kids born to ...
