For a trip involving any significant $$$, always ask two questions: 1) Is this the lowest possible rate? For example, especially for packaged trips, cruises, and expensive hotels, ask if there are regional promotions or other specials that might be applicable. 2) Ask, "is there a low price guarantee?" For example, if there is a fare decrease in many parts of the travel industry, the consumer is not notified (Maui Kay, we love ya!)....

I have spent hours trying to use FF miles for a trip and found that if you are told your time frame is not available you have to just hang up and call again, talk to someone else ... I'm wondering about this as well. A few Trader Joe's stores on MAUI...now THAT could be nice.  Their quality is decent and the prices aren't bad.But who would be frequenting a market with like Whole Foods, with their type of prices? At the Maui Mall Next to Longs The Maui Mall theatres and in the Old Star Market location It has just started the transformation form STAR to Whole Foods. Wont open till at least late 2009 But they did announce they will buy local produce to resell Thats causing some chuckles in Maui
