Published (2009-10-31 04:31:00)
I have very little to no knowledge of OCing but I purchased these parts below and would like to OC it: ASUS M4A785TD-V EVO AM3 AMD 785G HDMI ATX AMD Mobo Phenom 955 BE G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (4 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 Geforce 260GTX (left out the rest because I felt it had no relevence to OCing) my question is this: the options in the bios (ASUS M4A785TD-V EVO AM3 AMD 785G HDMI ATX AMD) are plenty and overwhelming and I...

I have an ASUS motherboard, Model M4A785-M (AMD 785G chipset and SB710) and an AMD Phenom II X2 BE550 black CPU. I have seen numerous references to "AMD Overdrive on the AMD site. My question is simple: Can I use AMD Overdrive with this motherboard/CPU combination? Do I want to use AMD Overdrive? Thanks for any help. (If this is...

Try blinking Louder No seriously where are you from because certain coolers don't seem to be available in some countries. I use the Titan Fenrir for my 955 but because of the lack of orientation of the fan (ie you can only fit it on two of the sides) I am going to replace it with the Sycthe Mugen 2 which is supposed to be very good at cooling AMD processors, is also very quiet and you can ...

My ASUS motherboard also states the only Phenom II it supports is the 715... but it does not exist. You *could* install a Phenom II at your own risk but it would be much better to get a new motherbard that supports the new CPU.

This is kinda odd as every other similar CPU is listed. :/ It might be just a typo or error on their part. 2) what OS are you ...
