not knowing how far the trees are very hard to tell, he should had tried to see if he got a signal anyway.
looking at it my first obvious place to put it from the picture would be at the apex between the two roofs by what looks like the
tv aerial,as long as the back of the house is south then you will not require a pole

Road gritters have laid two layers of salt on our road already. They are usually a pretty good indicator of impending snow (In mid UK)

hi - kurtusangle -
has the prime focus dish got it own
polar mount ?
if not - it will be almost certain to be difficult to use the offset dish mount - without quite a lot of alteration - as it will not have enough backward elevation adjustment to use a prime focus dish .
and yes you would need a prime focus feed / l.n.b setup
not sure about ...

If it's not actually moving it suggests that the cable may have been
loosened, preventing power getting to the motor. Can you get to it to
check? You could also bypass the motor, connect directly to the
LNB, and
see if you get a signal on whatever satellite it was last pointing at.

Impressive well worth motorizing as it will get most of
the satellites
worth watching from 42 east to 43 west.

A genuine Channel master polar mount fixes to the back of the dish. You don't need an adapter.

I do not think so normal fixing brackets for a fixed or motorised system just a fine mesh wire dish surrounded by polycarbonate the 80cm version I have read gets most European footprint
satellites & with Thor-6 taking over fro Thor-3 very soon you should be ok reception wise for 1 west

Assuming that this is an "Offset Feed" dish (because it's not circular) you are going to have a problem. The LNB will not be at the centre pointing straight down, that's what called a "
Prime Focus" dish. With offset feed dishes the LNB is to one side, pointing in towards the centre at an angle. The difficult bit is knowing where the focal point is, or even at what angle from the centre you could ...
