The amount of time really depends on the percentage of glycolic acid and the formulation: Some glyc peels have a built in "neutralizer" that stops the peel from, well, peeling for lack of a better word. Can't you email the Avon rep you bought it from?...

I would encourage you to stay out of the tanning beds!!! The risks really outweigh the benefits.
