Why I am experiencing something opposite? I am taking methylin, then my automatic sex desires stopped. I love this part! I felt that I was an animal before but the meds helps me change back to a human.

But so true crazy girl, there is always that 10 percent chance. or truly 50 percent chance. I know exactally what your saying. I need to stop. think. and have more empathy towards the other party in the argument. truly. I do know this.. I know, honestly I have said things, I WOULDNT FORGIVE, if I were the other side. I appreciate your bluntness. it is so true. I am working on it every single day..

OMG this is so me!!! I don't have accidents haha, but I am forever squirming around because I simply can't pull myself away from whatever I am doing. Plus it's SUCH A HASSLE. I swear, guys don't appreciate how good they have it! WAAAAY more convenient plumbing plus larger capacity. I even have a song "I need to pee, I need to pee, I need to pee so BAAAAAAAAaaaaaaDLYYYYYY!" Yeah. By some miracle only a few close...

I have noticed that when I drink coffe and take my meds, the meds seem to not work in the morning. When I take my meds first and wait an hour then have a cup of coffee seems to work better- like the post before me mentions.

I have just been through the most grueling six months ever -- new baby, along with 5 year old, back to work after 6 weeks maternity leave -- as a teacher of children with behavior disorders with a new principal, kidney stones, no sleep, graduate class to get my teaching license (I'm lateral entry), etc etc, and I have been looking forward to Christmas break so I can "relax." Crap, why do I always forget that I can't RELAX??...

Yes, I think empathy towards the party is needed especially in an argument, I've said things in the past I'm not proud of everyone has. The bottom line is nobody really wants the saying "You're gonna wake up one morning and he/she aint gonna there" to literally apply to their lives.

Caffeine and Adderall

Thank you everyone for your posts. Yesterday I took my first Adderall but I'm always nervous about taking new medication and it's effects. I did pretty well most of the day, even after a cup of coffee. I didn't feel like I had taken 'speed' but I did have a very dry mouth.

Just keep going, it gets easier I swear.

I have the same fatigue...I have no idea why. My head is spinning though and everything is overwhelming so I try jsut to zone it out by sleeping it away.
I am not on meds right now but next year at some point will be revisiting.
I am also newly diagnosed so any info on the fatigue might be helpful.

I have a knack for being able to play most instruments to a certain degree, however this stops with guitars, and I've always been gutted that I can't just pick it up and play it, I actually have to learn !
Which is why I still have a dusty guitar in my cupboard, and can only play 4 chords

I was just officially diagnosed today with ADD and my doctor prescribed Concerta. I took it today and it didn't really do much for me besides make me feel loopy/dizzy. I felt very awake, but still couldn't focus/concentrate and was procrastinating as usual. I will give the Concerta some time and hopefully it will help me or maybe not and my doctor and I will have to figure something else out (...

Oh, I'll do that. Not to the point that I pee myself but I will certainly hold it longer than I should because I do not want to get interrupted.
This is one reason why so many ADHD kid will still wet themselves at 4 or 5.

I'd love to know as well.
I started on Adderall XR (30mg) over the summer and am also taking Cymbalta, so we're still playing around with dosages. Sleep has never come easy for me because my mind is always racing, but now it's even harder to get to sleep. Some weeks, I literally don't sleep at all every other night. Other times, I'll be laying there for HOURS before finally drifting off, ...

Sounds a lot like me. There are times I can be roused from sleep easily, others, not so much. I have woken up in my office chair more than once.
Sleep hygiene is a toughie for an ADHDer. On top of that, she's 13. Lots of things that are going on for her. Time will help but she has reached an age where she needs to recognize what her needs are and communicate them.
