Also try an unplug-replug of the ignition trigger (on the front-left wheelwell, connector/s near the coil, and the crank sensor connector at the DITC box. Shouldn't be a need to disassemble the DITC box (though they sometimes come apart with rough handling of the connectors). Are you having unusual moisure/humidity problems there lately? Of course if there happens to be water dripping onto the DITC box, then disassemble to dry it out..

!tom, yes, the OEM rod bolts are supposed to be single use only, although I know for a fat that Vaughan has re-used his on the race car for at least four seasons, and I believe that motor got torn down, inspected, and reassembled between each season. He reused the rod bolts simply because there was no option at that time. The ARP rod bolts are supposed to be reusable. I'm no metallurgist, so I can't comment on the whys and...

Here are a few photos obtained by a friend who asked onlookers to take photos with their cell phones about 6 weeks ago while at a conference at the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, CO, . He was there for his company that designs, manufactures and sells electric delivery vehicles. He was able to drive right up to this guy very quietly with the truck. My friend is driving. The big guy is between the truck and the entrance/lobby area.

Porsche 924 N/A steering problems
Published (2009-11-28 13:48:00)
Quote: Check all the bushings. One may be cracked and jamming. Easy fix. Jack up the car and look at them. If that may not work then you must replace them. Looking at them sometimes works. HAHAHAHAHA I was taking a sip of my drink when I read this, I need a paper towel now.

Holy smokes my peeps - what's with all the 931-specific Q's in General Discussions lately? Can we get back to using 931 Tech? If it is a valve seal problem, you should be able to make it smoke while driving.. Use "engine braking" to increase vacuum - if leaky seals are the problem, this should pull some oil past them. -Then accelerate and watch out back for smoke.

So now that the Gov owns GM they have already decided that the public shouldnt get access to cars like the G8. They’ve killed the G8. The chevy caprice is built on the same platform but will be only available to police. Is this just a start of what’s coming? Is Socialist Motors (GM) bad for the enthusiast? Yes! Get your Camaro while you still can! (if you like ‘em) http://www....

Get it to bits and measure. The specs are in the shop manuals/Haynes. If your crank is real bad I have a set of 0.75 oversize bearings (Mains and Big ends) I'd be willing to sell, that's 3rd oversize. Hey guys been away for quite a while but have gotten stuck back into the 24. After replacing the alternator, fuel pump, spark plugs and leads I still have this same problem. Runs really nice until the engine begins to warm up gets to just below half on the temp gauge, starts to backfire and eventually dies. In winter i was able to drive this car on short trips but now here in ...

Tach signal - 24 new posts
Started 1 week ago (2009-11-27 06:03:00)  by BionicBalls
My tach worked the first time or two I started it up, but hasn't since. I figured that the tach just died so I replaced it. didn't work, so I replaced that one. This one doesn't work, so I now know that it's not the tach itself but instead the signal coming to the tach. Where is the tach getting its signal?

Is it possible to remove the exhaust manifold with the engine in? And does the head have to come off? I did a search but it was inconclusive ( some removal procedures required levering the engine to one side, that seems scary ) Thanks, Duncan

I'm not a American car person, but I have to say they did a good job on it. I was surprised to look out my window this morning to see a silver one parked in front of my apartment building (not an rs). I really like the oil press/batt/(whatever else that is) meters on the center console.
