Anyone selling a TPS for an 05?
Published (2009-11-13 01:58:00)
I have one from an '06 motor. Complete throttle bodies. I usually sell stuff for half what www.ronayers.com price. If that still seems high... let me know, We'll see what we can work out.

Temperature guage incorrect
Published (2009-11-13 20:38:00)
There could be air in the system. open up the radiator cap and start the engine. Check to see if you have flow by letting the thermostat open. If the thermostat is stuck close that could be the issues your seeing.

Brake light doesn't work

Yeah, adjust the rear switch, by adjusting the black plastic nut behind the right rear set. It is prolly so tight that it is always engaging the brake light

Need Real Professional bike help...
Published (2009-11-10 23:01:00)
That's exactly what happened! I removed the pistons and found a bearing on top of another bearing stuck together and jammed in the crank! I replaced everything and put the engine back in, and it fired right up! Now, it's rattles at idle and doing deceleration. Real hard engine braking too. Locked the rear wheel till my speed slows enough to drive in 1st gear. Road was wet too, however. But the noise started as soon as the bike did....

When riding at speed the temperature should be around 172-175 degrees Fahrenheit, depending on how hot the outside temperature. At slower speeds (like your 30mph) I think I've gotten up to 195 before too. The fan is supposed to kick in at around 220. Unless I just had a brain fart and completely forgot how my bike works, 85-90 wouldn't even be considered warm yet. Someone chime in please...

Unfortunate, You have to get the entire assembly. Because it comes pre calibrated from honda. You are not suppose to mess around with TPS. That is why there a red substance covering the screws. It there for tampering measure.

If your light is not coming on then you have a bad fuse or you have a short. Taillight and headlight you have a couple fuses out or a main fuse under the seat.. Check the one next to the battery, sounds like that could be the problem. T

Drag racing is a Clutch killer with or without using the clutch. Sound like you toasted your clutch. I also would recommends you get stuffer clutch spring for drag racing.

I doubt the power tip is the cause of your problems. Did yours come with those big, black O-rings to go around the base of the powertip? If so, did you use them? If not, why not? Those are there to secure the tip so it doesn't fall out. Good luck mate
