the absolute easiest way to get a filter off..........channel Locks...... http://www.howsed.com/wp-content/upl...annellocks.jpg and don't tighten the filter so DARN tight....i hand tighten then 1/4 turn more with the channellocks.

you can run mobil 1 4T, but not the regular 10w40 that cars use. make sure the oil is not an energy conserving oil. it will say on the back. Ive seen the mobil 1 4T at advanced auto parts and pep boys, but it was a few dollars more a quart there than what most motorcycle stores sell it for. I use repsol 4T.

Those blue handle channel-lock oil filter pliers are what I use. They work great for me.

Amsoil 10/40 every 3,000. Chain wax every 500. Chain clean & wax every 1,000. Wipe down after every ride and a good powerwash 2-3 times a month. Huming right along w/ 18,000 miles and not one problem yet! Looks brand new too...no one believes me when I tell them the milage.
