Welcome to 40konline. Enjoy the Community! Orks and Dark Eldar are pretty much eachothers' opposites as far as tactics go, so if you can master both you will be able to do most anything. Best of luck!

I don't play any of those armies so I can't say specifically. But the hardest part of integrating old models into new editions is maintaining WYSIWYG that is, What You See Is What You Get. The rule (some would say the Ideal) of making sure your models accurately represent what they have.

Well, it really varies from Model to Model. The best way to see if a model needs to be painted before assembly is to dry fit it. There's this Blue Tac stuff, its adhesive but it pulls off and can be reused. Stick the model together with that, and you'll see what pieces need to be glued on after painting. Craft Stores and Teacher Supply Stores would almost assuredly have it or be able to ...

I can't think of the term for it Tailoring, thanks Bert , but yes, choosing your army list after you figure out what your opponent is playing is generally bad sportsmanship. However, if you meet up someone before a game, and both don't mind the other gearing their list, then I don't see it as bad. In my view, if you want to change your list to suit your opponent's army, allow them to do the ...

*looks at front page* huh no Tau mentors? Any way, I have played tau a couple of times and every battle result was a massacre [for me ] with them. If you want then I could give you some basic advice and the like overall when it comes down to tau. I also have TONS of experience playing versus Tau and therefor know all their strong and weak points. Aside of that I advice going...

That is covered in the rulebook. If you don't have one I suggest you get one and read it. We cannot hand out copyright-protected information. Suffice it to say that an invulnerable save is a save you get to take even against mean things like cannons and lightsabers.

What i found helped me remember everything for the game was that when my brother bought the rule book, the concept of the game caught my attention so well that I read through the BBB (3rd ed rule book) at least a good 20 times before I bought my first eldar models. I find that it actually helps to study the rule book as weird as it sounds. If you are having troubles getting the smaller details...

Not necissarily HAVE TO move 6". If all you want to move them is 3 inches then that is all you have to move them. If you wish to move 3" forward and then 3" to the right so long as you do not excede 6". Or what ever the max unit move is. Hope that helps.
