Removing Paint on Painted Fenders
Published (2009-01-06 21:24:06)
Was it sprayed on or brushed on?? Can it be powerwashed at all?? Lacquer thinner works but may remove the shine if there is any under there. You could try other paint removers on an inconspicuous area..... Try chemicals and washing first , abrasives work but beat up the fenders.

Tank painting options?
Published (2009-01-07 09:22:01)
its the closest thing I found that works all around, since most of our trikes have newer maire fenders and such, this red is almost spot on. It may appear to be a bit brighter, but after 25 years you think your tank looks anything like it did when its new? What I have found for colors is the closest general white and red, I had to make this clear in my tank thread that this is not a spot on OEM match but the closest thing, also Its not a...

Vintage, That is a new looking 86! Nice job. You are correct again concernng the ATC200R. They may have all been crushed, I don't know. They were VERY trick, so someone may have some of them stashed somewhere. Tom Gildea might have some info on what happened to them. Ask him next time you see or hear from him. The 81's were very close to stock as well, but by 1982 there were longer swingarms, ...

Whoa guys, easy here! No clutches need to be removed. Just take off the clutch cover, the next inside casing (about and inch, inch and a half wide - held on with 4 bolts) and the shaft will slide right out. Slide the new one in (make sure the return spring seats) and put it back together. Easy as that. -Nick

Alright guys, here is the deal. Those of you who are regulars and read my previous threads, may remember why I even have this trike. A little re-cap, I got back into riding, thought I was younger and in better shape than what I am, and wanted to ride the pants off my little brothers. Bottom line is I am now a father and can not ride that hard anymore. I have a bad back and quite honestly,...

BTW, this thing will eventually get a 4mm stroker crank to go with the 300 kit. another Q, i have some new boyessen power reeds, and what appear to be some carbon fiber...

Welcome to the board!!! Can't wait for the washed pics!!!!! Whesly white wall cleaner works great for dirt like that. New oil, plug, oil filter, K+N filter. I mite put a little bit of mystery marvel oil in the spark plug hole and slowly kick it over a couple time before firing it up. DO a compression test. 178 psi after she is warmed up. I would also go over it and make ...

on my restored 200e the rear tires will only hold air for about 10 to 15 hours the tires are new so it must be slowly leaking around the bead. Should I try some tire slime or just tube them. I dont want to wreck the tire or rim, how messy is the slime when it comes time to change the tires. Ive never used slime before. also can you install the tube just breaking the bead on one side?
