Quote: The Goat ,dude you killed a rabbit just now!" :looks at fur on tire: "NO, it was already dead..." poor little bun bun.... LMFAO!! if welded correctly any frame is just as strong as original if not stronger hopefully by next week sometime the frame mods will be complete, then its a rough put together to test it out before full breakdown for paint and spit.

Currently I am planning on using 1985 200s forks. It all depends on what I get first. Is there a major difference between 1984 forks over 1985? Is the hub difference between 1984 and 1986 front hubs and wheels, 200x to 350x, on the larger trikes.

I have had 2 kawasaki cylinders w sleeves that run fine.. one was a '84 tecate, and the other is the '98 KX250 I am currently using. Plated cylinders have many advantages, but sleeves can just work fine if properly installed and matched... Your barrel probably has a cracked inner water jacket that is leaking into the transfers or intake area Quote: Originally Posted by PLJ. When installing the sleeve, is the cylinder bored to the...

n00b Question (Tachometer)
Published (2009-01-03 14:56:44)
I did not build a light into these so it is just 3 wires. 1 to ground - 1 to 12 volt power supply and one to the trigger wire on the coil. If being used on Tecate (like what I am using mine on) a separate battery pak is needed due to the wild fluctuation in voltage from the magneto (7.2 volts at idle to 17 volts @ 10K rpm. What kinda of tach you working with Tyler ? Oh, by the way ~ welcome to 3ww ! Our Canadian membership is growing

valave cover performance on atc 70
Published (2009-01-06 00:00:00)
on the atc 70 there are valve caps with a hex head in the center for removal. the billet ones looked the same with a little open nipple in the center of that hex. i cant seem to remember what site i seen them on, or i would send you there rather than have you drill out four stock ones. i do kinda remember the billets being around $30.

Hand fitting that tube has been/is a pain in the ass to get it to fit right. If theres any gap at all it will weld together like ass so Its very time consuming to file the high places down and get everything where it fits good and tight. I need to get a chain and sprocket on it to check how that tube will lay for sure but it appears like its going to work out really well, and look pretty sweet too.

Has anyone had any expirences with sleeving a KXT or KX cylinder with a borable, iron sleeve?? When installing the sleeve, is the cylinder bored to the water cooling passages?? Heres the scenario, I have a 2001 KX500 motor with a borable, iron sleeve installed. This was already installed when I bought the motor. After it running like garbage for awhile and seizing, I took it down. It had a ...

Holding true with Honda tradition - the previous owner never removed the swingarm bolt to grease it - therefore it had to be cut out. Then I looked at the price of a new one. This project keeps getting better and better - $22 for a new one - LOL what a joke - quad parts are so cheap!!!! Anyway - frame is stripped and off to Snake's for final welding - gussets. Pics soon to follow - early ...

Hey Guys, This is my first post here... sweet little forum, its good to see there are a lot of enthusiasts still interested in trikes. I have recently sold my 1982 Big Red and picked up a 1981 250R. I have been restoring it over the winter season and am hoping to wire up a tachometer. I am not a mechanic by any stretch of the imagination. Could one of you guys set me up with ...

I am currently in the process of putting an 88 cr 500 engine into an 85 250R frame. I have been looking at this sight for a while but I finnaly joined today. The conversions on here are amazing and they all keep me motivated. I have looked at all of the pictures of the 500s and I am wondering if you guys put the swingarm bolt through the engine where it goes on the dirtbike or used some other...
